PGNY Members’ Print Exchange Portfolio

Create a limited edition of prints to exchange with fellow PGNY members! Print exchanges are a great way to expand your print community, learn about new techniques and build your own personal print collection.

Participants must be current members of the Printmakers Guild of NY (Not a member? Join now!)

Print Specs & Details

Paper size: 8 x 10 inches

Edition Size: To be finalized based on the number of confirmed participants. We are aiming for 6–12 participants; if there are more participants, the exchange can expand into 2 or 3 groups of 8–12 participants each. One print from each artist’s edition will be housed in the PGNY archives.

Theme: No theme for this portfolio. We want to showcase our members’ amazing work!

All traditional printmaking techniques welcome, including but not limited to relief, intaglio, lithography, and screenprint.

NOTE: Digital output and non-traditional techniques will be accepted when accompanied by traditional printmaking techniques in a limited edition.

Border or bleed: Print edition can have a border or bleed.

Packaging: Each print must have a protective sheet of interleaving or glassine on top of the printed image

Shipment of Artwork to Exchange Organizer

Artists are responsible for the cost of shipping their completed edition to the portfolio exchange organizer (located in central NY; address will be shared with confirmed applicants).

Return of Completed Portfolios

Exchange Portfolios will be returned to participants with a colophon and in a simple protective sleeve or portfolio.

The packing materials the artist uses to ship their editioned prints will be used to return the completed exchange portfolio.

The cost of shipping the completed Exchange Portfolio is covered in your portfolio fee.

Timeline
  • Monday, June 8th, 2026: Application Deadline
  • Monday, June 15th, 2026: Confirmation of participants
  • Sunday, October 25th, 2026: Portfolios due to the organizer
  • Wednesday, November 25th, 2026: Return of portfolios to participants
  • Early 2027: Exhibition of archive edition at PGNY Headquarters, more to come!
