Printmakers Guild of NY is an artist-led group of printmakers working in a wide variety of printmaking mediums.

We meet regularly in New York’s Capital Region and online to share resources, skills and passion for printmaking. PGNY honors the diverse paths artists may take to printmaking, and seeks to broaden access to and awareness of this rich medium.

How Do I Join PGNY?

In 2025, PGNY’s in-person meet-ups, events and opportunities will be held in New York State or online. If you live outside of NY and still want to connect to our community, we welcome you to join as a member.

We’re growing! In the future we see the potential for a membership fee structure and sign-up process through which we can offer additional resources and programming to paid members. We will also always be committed to offering free opportunities for non-members.

PGNY is currently operated by volunteer artists who are balancing careers, studio practices and family obligations. We appreciate your patience as we take time to grow with intention!

In the meantime, we’ll add you to our mailing list to receive updates and send an invitation to officially join when we launch our Membership Sign Up page on our website.

2024

Our 2024 project was an exhibition, Printmakers Guild of New York 2024 Showcase

Our November 2024 exhibition presented a diverse selection of work created by artists working with prints, print-based media, and printmaking. The exhibition showcased regional emerging and established artists working within or outside of academia; in community or social practice; and who are engaging with the possibilities of the medium outside of New York City.

The exhibition was generously hosted by CREATE Community Studios in Troy, NY and curated by PGNY members: Ruben Castillo, Assistant Professor, Skidmore College of Art; Leona Christie, Associate Professor of Studio Art, SUNY-Albany; Gretta Keene, Artist and Printmaker; Nathan Meltz, Senior Lecturer, Department of the Arts, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.

The exhibition featured work from over 50 artists across Upstate New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Click below to learn more about their work and creative careers.
